Jessie J
Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English performer and musician. Jessie has gained notoriety early due to her unique style of music that is a blend of soul, hip-hop, pop and electropop. She has also earned several nominations and awards including the 'Critics Choice Brit Award' and the BBC's Sound of 2011.' The career of Jessie began at the very young age of 11, after she got a role in 'Whistle Down the Wind,' an original musical composed produced by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Later, she joined the 'National Youth Music Theatre as a performer in their production of "The Late Sleepers," which was first performed in 2002. The album she released her debut "Who You Are" was launched in February of 2011. The singer became famous the following year. It immediately became a hit. In the first week there were 105,000 copies sold in the UK as well as 34,000 in the US. Jessie's album was also number two on the Charts of UK Albums, and was ranked eleventh in the US Billboard 200.
